Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his visit to Bahrain, highlighted Pakistan’s structural and economic reforms, calling on Bahraini businesses to tap the country’s investment potential. He outlined new opportunities in agribusiness, IT, AI, minerals, energy, and tourism, emphasizing a private-sector-led growth model and simplified regulations.
Addressing the gathering of entrepreneurs and overseas Pakistanis, the PM highlighted Pakistan’s skilled workforce, growing market, and the role of remittances in the economy. He assured full support for joint ventures and promised a business-friendly environment, while emphasizing that the soon-to-be-signed Free Trade Agreement with the GCC would strengthen bilateral trade.
Bahrain’s Finance Minister praised Pakistan’s contributions to Bahrain’s financial sector and highlighted opportunities in fintech, digital infrastructure, AI, and cybersecurity. Both sides agreed that enhancing collaboration in these areas would create shared prosperity and reinforce long-standing cultural, economic, and strategic ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
