Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Al-Qudaibiya Palace, where he was welcomed with a guard of honor. The leaders discussed enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and praised the growing ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
The meeting focused on trade, highlighting the goal to raise bilateral trade from $550 million to $1 billion in three years. Both sides discussed investment opportunities in IT, healthcare, tourism, renewable energy, construction, and port-to-port connectivity between Karachi/Gwadar and Khalifa Bin Salman Port.
Discussions also included defence and security cooperation, support for Pakistanis living in Bahrain, higher education, technical training, and digital governance initiatives. The leaders emphasized peace and stability in Gaza, expressing hope for tangible outcomes to further strengthen Pakistan–Bahrain relations.
