Chinese-made power generator sets worth over 100 million yuan were recently shipped from Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province to Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries including Iraq and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The shipment reflects China’s expanding exports of large-scale power equipment and the growing global reach of Ningbo’s manufacturing sector.
Experts say the export of power-generation equipment demonstrates China’s strong competitiveness in global energy infrastructure development. Companies such as Ningbo C.S.I. Power & Machinery Group have expanded their operations across Africa and Southeast Asia, building power stations and supplying marine engines and energy solutions to multiple countries.
The development is supported by Ningbo’s world-class logistics network, with Ningbo Zhoushan Port now operating hundreds of international shipping routes connecting more than 700 ports worldwide. Improved connectivity under the BRI is helping Chinese manufacturers expand overseas markets while contributing to trade growth and energy development in partner countries.
