President Asif Ali Zardari held a high-level meeting with Bahrain’s Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in security, counter-narcotics, and counter-terrorism. The discussion emphasized coordinated efforts to combat organized crime and illicit drug trafficking.
During the meeting, the Bahraini minister recognized the pivotal role of Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in fostering strong cooperation between the two countries. President Zardari warmly acknowledged the support, likening Minister Naqvi to a “second son” in his regard, highlighting the personal and professional trust underpinning the partnership.
