China’s space station carried out 31 new science and application projects in 2025, spanning life sciences, microgravity physics, and advanced space technologies. The missions delivered 867.5 kilograms of experimental materials to orbit and returned 83.92 kilograms of samples to Earth.
Notable achievements include China’s first mouse experiment in space, providing insights into behavioral and genetic changes under microgravity and sub-magnetic conditions. Experiments with fruit flies also contributed to understanding biological effects in space, supporting future deep-space exploration.
Additional projects involved studying lithium-ion battery behavior in orbit, aiming to improve performance and lifespan in microgravity. Plans are underway to launch a survey telescope for cosmology and a high-energy cosmic radiation detection facility to advance research on cosmic rays and dark matter.
