China and Pakistan have launched a new volunteer service team in Jinan, Shandong Province. The initiative aims to strengthen youth exchanges and cross-border philanthropic cooperation.
The “China-Pakistan Future · Volunteers Hand in Hand” team was jointly established by Tongshan Public Welfare and the China-Pakistan Medical Association. The Social Work Department of Changqing District and the District Communist Youth League Committee also supported the initiative.
Boosting Youth Exchanges
The new team will promote cultural exchanges between Chinese and Pakistani youth. It will also explore sustainable models for international volunteer services.
Moreover, the initiative seeks to create more opportunities for young people from both countries to work together on community and welfare projects.
Building Cross-Border Volunteer Networks
Tongshan Public Welfare’s special consultative status with the United Nations will support the initiative’s international outreach.
The team plans to establish regular, two-way volunteer mechanisms between China and Pakistan. As a result, young people from both countries can participate in joint philanthropic activities and strengthen people-to-people ties.
Expanding People-to-People Cooperation
The launch adds a new dimension to China-Pakistan cooperation. Beyond economic and diplomatic relations, the initiative focuses on youth engagement and social development.
Furthermore, regular volunteer exchanges could create lasting connections between communities in both countries.
