On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, the country’s top military leadership extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, paying tribute to the sacrifices and vision that led to independence.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff; General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, conveyed their collective message on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
In a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Armed Forces honoured the determination and courage of the founding fathers under Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s leadership, acknowledging their sacrifices as the cornerstone of Pakistan’s creation. They also paid homage to the visionaries, statesmen, and soldiers who laid the foundations of the nation, vowing to preserve their legacy with pride and gratitude.
The military leadership reaffirmed their unwavering resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional values. Emphasising the deep bond between the Armed Forces and the people, the statement highlighted that unity and public trust remain the true source of national strength.
Marking the day as a moment to renew the collective pledge for peace, progress, and discipline, the Armed Forces called upon the nation to work towards a resilient, prosperous, and progressive Pakistan.
