President Zardari Highlights Unity, Victory on Independence Day. In his message marking Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, he extended warm congratulations to the nation, paying homage to the sacrifices that led to the country’s creation and honouring Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah along with the leaders of the Pakistan Movement.
Reflecting on recent national achievements, he hailed the successes in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyān-ul-Marsūs as defining moments in Pakistan’s history. He said these victories demonstrated the nation’s unshakable will, professional excellence, and unity in the face of external aggression, particularly unjustified Indian hostilities. Pakistan, he noted, responded with courage, clarity, and restraint, reinforcing its image as a peace-loving country fully capable of defending its sovereignty.
President Zardari stressed that this renewed sense of confidence should now be directed towards economic revival, educational reform, technological advancement, institutional strengthening, and environmental resilience. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for justice and self-determination.
Concluding his message, the president urged Pakistanis to stand united for a nation rooted in justice, equality, and faith, praying for Allah’s guidance and blessings.
