The University of Sargodha (UoS) has signed two major cooperation agreements with leading Chinese companies to enhance student opportunities in maritime education, IT, and advanced skills training. The agreements were finalized during a ceremony in Tianjin.
UoS signed a Letter of Intent with Tianjin Boling Education and Culture Investment Co., Ltd. to launch a Seafarer Training Program under the China–Pakistan Maritime Silk Road Scholarship. The initiative will offer Pakistani students internationally recognized maritime courses, fully funded scholarships, and direct employment pathways in China’s maritime industry.
In another development, UoS signed an MoU with Tianjin Xinzhiou Tech Co. Ltd. to strengthen research, innovation, and high-tech training. Both sides agreed to establish a joint software house to support collaboration in IT and Artificial Intelligence.
University officials said these partnerships reflect UoS’s growing international reach and its commitment to preparing youth for fast-growing global sectors.
