President Asif Ali Zardari welcomed Ambassador Aqsa Nawaz and described Djibouti as an important partner in Pakistan’s Africa policy. He congratulated her on the new role and expressed optimism for stronger bilateral ties.
The President highlighted that Pakistan’s relationship with Djibouti is grounded in shared faith, cultural links, and regional proximity. He noted that opening Pakistan’s mission in Djibouti in 2022 reflected the country’s long-term commitment to cooperation.
Zardari emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations at international forums, including the UN and the OIC. He called for enhanced partnerships in trade, agriculture, education, tourism, logistics, and maritime sectors to benefit both countries.
Expressing confidence in the ambassador’s tenure, the President said he expected deeper people-to-people ties and a forward-looking, stable partnership that strengthens regional connectivity and mutual development.
