A Punjab agriculture officer recently completed a three-month training program in China, focusing on modern seed breeding, farm mechanization, and post-harvest technology.
Muhammad Waleej Arslan gained hands-on experience with agricultural drones, AI-powered machinery, and vertical farming, learning methods to improve crop quality and efficiency.
He emphasized that local adaptation of these technologies could help Pakistan address water scarcity, soil infertility, and other farming challenges.
Arslan also recommended establishing joint China-Pakistan research labs to develop seed varieties and farming practices tailored to Pakistan’s conditions, ensuring long-term benefits for farmers.
