Gwadar District Administration hosted BISP Director General Dr. Jalal Faiz to review ongoing social support programs in the region. Currently, BISP operates five offices and multiple facilitation centers across Gwadar, providing financial aid to 14,527 women under the Benazir Income Support Program.
Educational initiatives are benefiting 32,569 children through scholarships, while nutritional support is being delivered to 6,559 pregnant and lactating women and young children. Digital Protection Wallets (DPW) and Mobile Registration Vehicles (MRVs) are enhancing financial inclusion and extending outreach to remote areas.
Officials also highlighted the establishment of a Nutrition Stabilization Center aimed at combating malnutrition and improving child development outcomes. The overall programs focus on social protection, educational access, and economic empowerment, particularly for marginalized communities in Gwadar.
