The Pakistan Agricultural Thousand Talents Program officially started its new training course on seed production and processing technology at Huazhong Agricultural University . The program aims to build expertise in Pakistan’s seed sector and strengthen agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Shafqat Abbas, Deputy Secretary of Pakistan’s Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR), attended the launch and stressed the program’s importance for developing skilled professionals to advance Pakistan’s agricultural industry. He called the hands-on training a key step toward modernizing the country’s seed production capabilities.
Zhu Xiaobo, General Manager of Qingfa Hesheng, highlighted the company’s two decades of experience in Pakistan and outlined the practical training methods, including field exercises and on-site lessons. The program is designed to give participants first-hand knowledge of the latest technologies and innovations in seed research and processing.
So far, around 700 Pakistani graduates have participated in the Training Program for 1,000 Agricultural Talents in China. The initiative continues to nurture talent, promote knowledge sharing, and support the growth of Pakistan’s seed industry for a more sustainable agricultural future.
