Pakistan and Iran have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across a range of sectors. Both countries also stressed collaboration on regional and international issues of mutual interest. The discussions come as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties and promote peace and stability in South Asia.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Iran’s Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their talks focused on reviewing recent developments, joint agreements, and areas where the two nations can work together for regional stability.
Dr. Larijani praised Pakistan’s role in maintaining regional security and highlighted the importance of close cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad. He described Pakistan as a “friendly and brotherly country” and noted the strong historical bonds, including Pakistan’s support during the 12-day conflict that affected Iran in June.
Both countries emphasized that their partnership is key to addressing regional challenges and advancing peace, security, and prosperity. Officials agreed that continued dialogue and collaboration would help strengthen ties and contribute positively to the broader Islamic world.
