Indonesia’s Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General (Retd) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held a meeting to discuss bilateral defense cooperation, regional security issues, and ways to further enhance military ties.
The exchange took place during a visit by the Indonesian Defence Minister, who led a delegation consisting of officials from various military services and intelligence agencies, to General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the deep-rooted friendship and ongoing collaboration between Indonesia and Pakistan. Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the value of mutual cooperation for ensuring regional peace and stability.
Lieutenant General Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin praised the Pakistan Army’s contributions in combating terrorism and reiterated Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening defence relations with Pakistan.
