Pakistan’s Himalayan Pink Salt has once again earned international spotlight after a Brazilian innovation blending the mineral with Amazonian biodiversity received global recognition at the Women in Agritech – Global Summit of Women in Agribusiness and Biotechnology in Belgium.
The award-winning soap, produced under the Savana Amazônica brand in Boa Vista, Roraima, highlights the growing synergy between Pakistan’s natural resources and Brazil’s innovative entrepreneurship.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Brazil celebrated the achievement, calling it a symbol of successful international collaboration that strengthens Pakistan’s footprint in global wellness and cosmetic industries.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan said the recognition proves Pakistan’s Himalayan Pink Salt is not just a natural asset but also a powerful global brand. “Its inclusion in an award-winning product in Belgium shows how Pakistan’s resources can meaningfully contribute to global innovation,” he stated, adding that it opens new doors for trade and partnership with Brazil and beyond.
Trade and Investment Counsellor Dr Muhammad Babar Chohan echoed the sentiment, saying the collaboration demonstrates how Pakistan’s minerals and Brazil’s biodiversity can produce world-class products. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting Himalayan Pink Salt and building sustainable trade bridges that expand its presence in high-value industries.
The award marks another milestone in Pakistan’s push to enhance exports of natural and wellness products, deepening its integration into global value chains through partnerships built on innovation and sustainability.
