Pakistan and China have signed a Letter of Intent to expand cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training, launching a five-year initiative to train more than 50,000 youth. The agreement also aims to develop around 2,000 master trainers to strengthen Pakistan’s skills ecosystem.
The initiative will focus on emerging and high-demand sectors including digital technologies, e-commerce, fintech, artificial intelligence, media, tourism, and entrepreneurship. It seeks to enhance employability, promote digital transformation in education, and align skills development with global market requirements.
The cooperation also envisions establishing smart digital training centers, joint certification mechanisms, and institutional linkages between Pakistan and China. Special emphasis will be placed on innovation, entrepreneurship, and small and medium-sized enterprises to support sustainable economic growth and youth-led development.
