China and Pakistan have taken a major step toward deepening agricultural cooperation with the signing of multiple MOUs during a visit by Chinese experts to the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The delegation included senior executives from leading agribusiness firms, academic representatives, and industry alliance members.
The visiting Chinese entities represented expertise across the agricultural value chain, including sesame and chilli processing, fruit cultivation, seed breeding, smart poultry technology, and advanced agricultural machinery. Discussions focused on translating academic research into practical, market-oriented solutions tailored to Pakistan’s agricultural needs.
Facilitated by the Confucius Institute at UAF, business-to-business matchmaking sessions led to concrete cooperation frameworks covering technology transfer, skills development, and resource sharing. The visit also included tours of research laboratories and exhibition facilities, strengthening pathways for long-term China-Pakistan agricultural collaboration.
