China and Pakistan have signed a series of new agreements to deepen collaboration in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), marking another milestone in bilateral educational and industrial cooperation.
The agreements were finalised during the China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education, where eight Chinese vocational colleges from provinces including Jiangxi, Sichuan, Gansu, Anhui, and Xinjiang partnered with Pakistani institutions. These partnerships aim to enhance technical skill development across diverse industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, and trade.
As part of the initiative, three new training bases were launched to help Pakistani students acquire Chinese language proficiency and advanced vocational skills, promoting cultural and professional integration.
In addition, a China-Pakistan Industry-Education Integration Community was established to foster talent cultivation and joint research in high-demand sectors, including rail transit, electric vehicles (EVs), textiles, and apparel manufacturing.
Officials emphasised that these initiatives are designed to align workforce development with evolving industrial needs, helping Pakistan strengthen its human capital while enhancing China-Pakistan cooperation under the framework of educational and economic partnership.
