Pakistan and China have agreed to further strengthen security and counter-terrorism cooperation during a high-level meeting in Islamabad between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral ties and addressing matters of mutual interest.
The Chinese ambassador condemned the recent suicide bombing in Islamabad, expressing condolences for the loss of lives and reiterating China’s commitment to continue full cooperation in Pakistan’s counter-terrorism initiatives. Both sides highlighted the importance of maintaining regional stability and public safety.
During the meeting, Pakistan and China pledged to deepen operational coordination, increase intelligence sharing, and implement joint strategies to effectively combat terrorism while reinforcing long-term partnership and trust between the two nations.
