Gwadar Development Authority launched a series of social and sports events on April 2 to engage youth and promote tourism after the Eid al-Fitr season.
The Jashn-e-Sahil Sports Festival opened at GDA-developed facilities with a beach marathon organized in coordination with the Balochistan Department of Sports. Athletes from across the province competed in various events, drawing large crowds of spectators.
Next week, the authorities will host a two-day National Youth Summit at the GDA Public Higher Secondary School. Organized by the Department of Youth Affairs Balochistan, the summit will focus on leadership, education, and youth development. Participants from all over Pakistan are expected to attend.
Moreover, the city is preparing to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi on April 21. Literary and cultural programs will honor his contributions, while attracting tourists and local enthusiasts alike.
Moin-ur-Rehman Khan instructed officials to finalize arrangements for the festival and summit. Consequently, local businesses anticipate increased visitor numbers and economic activity.
