The government will launch Vision Pakistan 2047 on August 12. The programme aims to support Pakistan’s goal of building a trillion-dollar economy and achieving long-term economic growth.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will formally launch the initiative, according to sources in the Prime Minister’s Office.

The new framework will set long-term goals for economic development, national progress, and sustainable growth.

Focus on Youth and Innovation

Vision Pakistan 2047 will include programmes designed to create better opportunities for young people.

The government plans to promote sustainable economic growth, innovation, and prosperity for the younger generation.

Moreover, the vision will focus on building a stronger workforce that can contribute to Pakistan’s future economic transformation.

Uraan Pakistan to Align With Vision 2047

The government has also decided to align the Ministry of Planning’s Uraan Pakistan Plan with Vision Pakistan 2047.

For this purpose, the Prime Minister’s Office has asked all ministries and relevant institutions to submit their targets for the long-term programme.

The ministries must identify strategic goals, reforms, and development priorities. These targets will help create a coordinated national roadmap.

Human Capital and Technology

The new vision will cover several key areas of national development.

These include:

  • Economic transformation
  • Human capital development
  • Technology and innovation
  • Institutional reforms
  • National development
  • Sustainable economic growth

In addition, the government wants the programme to strengthen Pakistan’s ability to compete in a rapidly changing global economy.

Climate and Governance Also Included

Vision Pakistan 2047 will also address climate sustainability and governance reforms.

The government has directed ministries to include relevant targets in their submissions. These measures aim to support sustainable development while improving public-sector performance.

Furthermore, governance reforms could help strengthen institutions and improve the implementation of long-term economic policies.

Roadmap Toward a Trillion-Dollar Economy

The launch of Vision Pakistan 2047 marks the government’s effort to establish a long-term national development framework.

By linking the programme with Uraan Pakistan, the government aims to coordinate economic reforms, technology development, human capital investment, and sustainability goals.

The initiative will therefore provide a long-term roadmap as Pakistan works toward its trillion-dollar economy target.
