He stressed that safety must remain the top priority during the storm.
Fisheries Department and Navy on High Alert
Provincial Fisheries Secretary Tariq Qamar Baloch said that all field officers are on alert. The department is coordinating with the Pakistan Navy, Levies Force, and local administration to monitor the situation in real time.

Cyclone Tracking and Meteorological Updates
The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Tropical Cyclone Alert Centre has warned fishermen to avoid deep waters.
Although the cyclone has moved about 800 km southwest of Karachi, it remains intense over the northwestern Arabian Sea.

Wind speeds near the Sindh coast may reach 55 km/h, and between October 5 and 7, gusts could exceed 135 km/h, creating extremely rough seas.
Public Safety Advisory
Authorities have advised residents to stay away from coastal areas and follow all official advisories during this high-risk period.
The government has reaffirmed that protecting lives and livelihoods remains its top priority as Cyclone Shakti continues to influence weather conditions along Pakistan’s coastline.
