A Chinese technology company has signed a cooperation agreement in Pakistan to promote smart agriculture and advanced drone technologies. The agreement was signed in Sargodha between Chengdu Yihe Technology Co. Ltd., the University of Sargodha and Pak Agro Fertilizer and Chemical Industries.
Under the agreement, the Chinese firm will establish a research and training center at the University of Sargodha to support applied research, skills development and technology transfer. The initiative aims to strengthen innovation and capacity building in modern agricultural practices.
The partnership also includes plans to set up a drone manufacturing facility focused on UAVs, UGVs and crop mechanization technologies. Officials said the collaboration will contribute to rural development, industrial growth and deeper Pakistan-China cooperation in agricultural modernization.
