On the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Consul General Yang Yundong extended warm greetings, wishing prosperity for China and reaffirming gratitude to Pakistan for its longstanding support.
He highlighted China’s 2025 achievements, including major strides in modernisation, high-quality economic development, and hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, where President Xi Jinping advanced the Global Governance Initiative. These milestones, he said, reflect China’s growing role in promoting peace, stability, and global progress.
Turning to bilateral relations, Yang underlined that 2025 has been a landmark year for China-Pakistan ties, with visits by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif deepening political trust. The signing of the 2025–2029 Action Plan has laid out a blueprint for cooperation, focusing on CPEC 2.0, enhanced connectivity, defence collaboration, and people-to-people exchanges.
He stressed that the all-weather strategic partnership continues to evolve with “contemporary vitality,” bringing tangible benefits to both nations while symbolising unity, equality, and mutual trust.
“May our homeland remain splendid, our people live in peace, and the friendship between China and Pakistan last forever,” Yang concluded.
