Pakistan’s Forward Sports has partnered with China’s Zhongzi Huaxin Group to produce sports footwear in Pakistan.
The two companies signed a technical and investment cooperation agreement. The partnership aims to expand Pakistan’s manufacturing capacity and increase footwear exports.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) facilitated the agreement.
Forward Sports Expands Beyond Footballs
Forward Sports is based in Sialkot and is known for producing high-quality sports goods.
The company manufactures official footballs for Adidas used in FIFA World Cups. It also produces sports bags, apparel, and lifestyle footwear.
Therefore, the new partnership could help Forward Sports expand its footwear operations and reach more international markets.
Chinese Firm Brings Investment Expertise
Zhongzi Huaxin Group is a Chinese investment and asset management company.
The group has experience in industrial development, footwear and apparel parks, and regional economic cooperation.
Through the agreement, the Chinese company will bring investment and technical expertise to Pakistan’s sports footwear industry.
SIFC Facilitates New Partnership
The agreement was signed under the facilitation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
The signing ceremony took place at SIFC and brought together senior officials and business leaders.
Participants included the Minister for Defence, Director General SIFC, Chairman of the Pakistan Regional Economic Forum, and the CEOs of Zhongzi Huaxin Group and Forward Sports.
Focus on Technology and Job Creation
The partnership is expected to support technology transfer and industrial development.
Moreover, the project could create new employment opportunities in Pakistan’s manufacturing sector.
It may also help diversify Pakistan’s exports. At the same time, the companies aim to increase Pakistan’s share of the growing global sports footwear market.
