China-Arab League trade hit a historic 1.72 trillion yuan (about 241.61 billion U.S. dollars) in the first seven months of 2025, according to China’s General Administration of Customs. The figure highlights the growing strength of China-Arab economic relations, marking a 3.2% year-on-year rise and confirming that China-Arab League trade is reaching record levels.
In July alone, bilateral trade surged to 245.31 billion yuan, reflecting a 6.9% annual increase. China exported goods worth 135.54 billion yuan while importing 109.77 billion yuan during the month.
Energy continues to dominate trade, with over 40% of China’s crude oil imports sourced from Arab League countries during January–July 2025. At the same time, machinery and electronic products remain China’s top exports to the region, totalling 557.66 billion yuan, nearly 60% of its total shipments.
Beyond energy and industrial goods, agricultural cooperation is expanding. China is supporting modern farming initiatives across the region while boosting imports of unique products such as Egyptian frozen strawberries, Lebanese chocolate, and Algerian wool.
With complementary economies and mutually beneficial trade structures, China-Arab League trade is steadily reinforcing its position as a cornerstone of strategic economic partnership.
