Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong emphasized on Wednesday that China is ready to work closely with Pakistan to strengthen their role on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) platform. Speaking at a seminar at NUST, he highlighted the importance of multilateral cooperation, regional stability, and advancing the Global Governance Initiative.
Ambassador Jiang stressed that China and Pakistan, as all-weather strategic partners and key SCO members, are central to promoting peace, shared development, and the implementation of the Global Governance Initiative. He called for stronger bilateral trust, expanded high-level exchanges, and collaboration on economic, technological, and security fronts.
The ambassador further highlighted SCO’s 24-year success in fostering mutual trust, equality, and dialogue, describing it as a model for Global South countries. He underscored joint efforts in trade, investment, digital economy, and innovation, while emphasizing the importance of defending international law, multilateralism, and equitable global governance.
