The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) approved a plan to retain the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) as a streamlined, efficient center of excellence, with a focus on promoting Brand Pakistan globally and strengthening tourism marketing.
Under the new structure, PTDC will concentrate on tourism policy support, coordination among government agencies, and marketing initiatives. The reorganization includes rationalized staff and a revised board composition to meet governance requirements.
The committee directed the ministry to submit a proposal covering funding and management of PTDC assets. The meeting, chaired by Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, included senior officials from relevant ministries and divisions.
