Beijing has inaugurated the world’s first elder-care robot station, combining robotics with senior-friendly services to transform daily life for older adults. The four-story facility spans approximately 1,100 square meters and features more than 40 types of robots deployed in dining, healthcare, recreation, and rehabilitation areas.
On the first floor, cooking and tray-delivery robots provide a largely automated dining experience, while a pancake-making robot prepares fresh meals for visitors. The second floor focuses on childcare and family interaction, allowing children to learn and play with educational companion robots.
The third floor serves as a health and recreation center for seniors, offering moxibustion robots, exoskeletons, and health-monitoring devices. The fourth floor features a model apartment with smart wheelchairs, companion robots, and age-friendly facilities. The station is expected to serve over 300 visitors daily, providing innovative care solutions for the community.
