Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a high-level meeting with Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, in Islamabad on January 16. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening Pakistan-China bilateral relations, discussed the regional situation, and explored areas of mutual interest to enhance cooperation.
The meeting emphasized the importance of promoting cultural collaboration, academic linkages, and youth exchanges. Both leaders agreed that sustained high-level engagements between the two countries are crucial for maintaining momentum in strategic partnerships and mutual understanding.
Pakistan appreciated China’s continued support in various sectors, while China reaffirmed its commitment to deepening the long-standing friendship. The discussions reflected a shared vision for fostering stronger people-to-people ties and leveraging bilateral cooperation for regional stability and development.
