President Xi chairs CPC meeting to review governance regulations to enhance its effectiveness and coordination.
The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee convened a meeting on Monday to review a new set of regulations governing the decision-making, advisory, and coordinating bodies under the CPC Central Committee.
Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, chaired the session.
The meeting underscored that the new regulations aim to bring greater standardization to the establishment, responsibilities, and operational procedures of these central institutions.
It highlighted that the regulations are crucial for strengthening top-level planning, ensuring effective coordination, promoting comprehensive progress, and implementing major national strategies efficiently.
These bodies, the meeting noted, must enhance their leadership and coordination roles on key national issues, placing emphasis on strategic planning, discussion, and supervision.
The participants called for thorough research and analysis to boost the quality and impact of decision-making, and stressed the importance of crafting practical and actionable policy recommendations.
The meeting concluded by stressing the need to avoid formalistic and bureaucratic practices, and to prioritize results-driven governance.
