A high-level Turkish Air Force delegation, led by General Ziya Cemal Kadioglu, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
The delegation was accorded a warm welcome, with General Kadioglu receiving a Guard of Honour from a smartly turned-out Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent.
According to ISPR, discussions focused on the evolving regional security environment, progress in defence collaboration, and avenues for cooperation in modern warfare. Both sides agreed to enhance partnership in training, joint exercises, and multi-domain operations.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu underlined the historic fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, rooted in faith, shared aspirations, and strategic alignment. He highlighted the induction of Turkish cadets at PAF Academy Asghar Khan as a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and developing future air warriors.
General Kadioglu praised PAF’s operational excellence and combat readiness, particularly during the recent conflict with India, crediting the Air Chief’s leadership for the force’s resolute defence of sovereignty. He expressed keen interest in studying PAF’s operational strategies and multi-domain warfare doctrine to enhance the Turkish Air Force’s preparedness.
The visiting commander also admired the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park, commending Pakistan’s indigenous advancements in aerospace technology and self-reliance.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to learn from each other’s experiences and build stronger institutional ties. The visit reflected the shared determination of Pakistan and Turkiye to deepen defence cooperation and advance strategic alignment between their armed forces.
