Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the Pakistan-China agriculture partnership, stating that Pakistan can transform its agriculture sector rapidly by adopting modern technology, improving per-acre yields, and boosting export competitiveness. Speaking at the Pakistan–China Agri Investment Conference, he emphasized China’s support through training Pakistani graduates and providing advanced agricultural technologies.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic recovery and reaffirmed China’s commitment to expanding bilateral agricultural trade to $1 billion. He noted that CPEC Phase II will focus on agriculture, IT, AI, and youth development, supporting technology-driven growth and enabling Pakistan to achieve a trade surplus in agriculture.
Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said Pakistan remains fully committed to providing an investor-friendly environment for Chinese enterprises. He stressed that the goal is to enable Chinese firms to innovate and succeed alongside Pakistani partners, strengthening bilateral cooperation, food security, and sustainable economic growth.
