President Zardari vows to work closely with Chinese counterpart to deepen cooperation

President Asif Ali Zardari thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping for warmly congratulating him on his re-election as Pakistan’s President.

Zardari pledged to work closely with President Xi, aiming to deepen practical cooperation and strengthen the enduring partnership between the two nations.

He stressed that the solid friendship between the two countries serves as a cornerstone for regional peace, stability, and development.

Zardari highlighted that Pakistan and China are not just neighbors but iron-clad brothers committed to the success of their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

The president expressed satisfaction with significant progress in bilateral cooperation, particularly in developing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He emphasized President Xi’s crucial support for advancing CPEC and shared goals of progress and prosperity for both nations.
