China provides $100,000 cash aid for rain-hit areas in Balochistan, KP

The Chinese government provided $100,000 in emergency cash assistance for rain-affected regions in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The donation ceremony occurred at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong giving the assistance to Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.

Ambassador Zaidong stressed China’s commitment to helping Pakistan during crises and the importance of timely aid. The Chinese embassy highlighted the significance of this contribution in supporting those in need. Additionally, Chinese entities distributed 30,000 bottles of mineral water and 3,000 cans of food to the affected population in Gwadar.

Efforts were made to shelter displaced individuals at the Gwadar Faqur School, showing the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan.

The Chinese Consulate General in Karachi will further provide material assistance worth RMB 500,000 soon, demonstrating ongoing commitment to aiding Pakistan’s recovery efforts.

This assistance follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of a relief package for those impacted by torrential rains earlier this month.
