President Asif Ali Zardari has called on all stakeholders to reaffirm education as a national priority, emphasizing the need to empower youth as active partners in building a skilled, enlightened and resilient Pakistan. He said the country’s long-term progress depends on investing in its young population.
Highlighting the International Day of Education, the president noted that modern education must go beyond academics by fostering critical thinking, ethical values, digital literacy and practical skills. He said the constitutional guarantee of free and compulsory education reflects Pakistan’s collective commitment to this fundamental right.
President Zardari also stressed the importance of technical and vocational training in equipping youth with employable skills and honoring the dignity of labour. Inclusive education policies, he added, can promote social cohesion and ensure equitable progress across all segments of society.
