President Asif Ali Zardari extended warm felicitations to Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, Mr Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the people of Sudan on their Independence Day. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability.
President Zardari highlighted the long-standing cordial relations between Pakistan and Sudan, rooted in shared Islamic values and mutual respect. He emphasized trust, cooperation, and consistent support at international forums as the foundation of bilateral ties.
The president expressed confidence that dialogue and cooperation would promote regional peace and prosperity. He conveyed sincere wishes for Sudan’s continued peace, stability, and development, and wished Mr Abdel Fattah al-Burhan success in leading his country forward.
