President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Shanghai on Sunday as part of his ongoing visit to China. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Chen Qun, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, and Ma Yinghui, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipality. Pakistan’s Consul General in Shanghai and senior embassy officials were also present at the airport to receive him.
Earlier, First Lady Ms. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari reached Shanghai, accompanied by former Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. They were welcomed by senior representatives of the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office and Pakistan’s diplomatic officials.
The visit highlights the strengthening of Pakistan-China relations, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation during President Zardari’s engagements in Shanghai.
