Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has underscored the vital role of adopting international quality standards to secure a safer, sustainable, and prosperous future for Pakistan.
In his message on World Standards Day, themed “Shared Vision for a Better World,” the Prime Minister said that global standards symbolize unity and a collective effort toward inclusive development.
He stressed that product and service quality determines a nation’s global competitiveness, and therefore, compliance with international standards is not optional but a necessity for accessing world markets and strengthening Pakistan’s exports and economy.
Highlighting the growing recognition of the ‘Made in Pakistan’ brand, PM Shehbaz said quality benchmarks not only enhance consumer confidence but also enable local industries to compete globally.
The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) for aligning industrial output with international practices. He described PSQCA as a key institution ensuring fair competition and promoting quality across sectors.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Science and Technology and PSQCA, he emphasized promoting a culture of quality, fostering innovation, and protecting consumers. PM Shehbaz urged businesses, manufacturers, and industrialists to adopt high-quality standards as a core operational principle, adding that working together under a shared vision can help build a stronger and more resilient Pakistan.
