Pakistan’s Planning Minister Reiterates Dedication to Accelerating CPEC Projects
Islamabad, October 6, 2023: Pakistan’s Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Sami Saeed, recently met with Chairman Yu Bo of the China Overseas Port Holding Company (COPHC) to underscore Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to expediting the ongoing projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The meeting served as a platform to discuss the progress and future prospects of CPEC, with a particular focus on the crucial role played by Gwadar, often considered the heart of this monumental initiative.

He emphasized that the first stage of Gwadar port and city development, alongside the Gwadar Free Zone, had been successfully completed.
