Pakistan and Uzbekistan are moving closer as both countries seek to expand cooperation in key economic sectors. Pakistan and Uzbekistan Boost Mining Industry Cooperation Ties with a fresh round of talks held during Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Haroon Akhtar’s visit to Tashkent.
At the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, the two sides discussed opportunities in mineral exploration and extraction. Pakistan’s rich reserves and Uzbekistan’s proven expertise create strong potential for a productive partnership. Both countries agreed to hold regular ministerial-level meetings to turn these discussions into practical projects.
Earlier, Haroon Akhtar visited Techno Park in Uzbekistan. He reviewed the production of household appliances and electronic goods. He showed special interest in joint ventures for manufacturing modern gas and electricity meters, along with solar water heaters. These projects highlight opportunities beyond mining, extending into renewable energy and advanced technology.
The visit signals growing momentum in Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations. Cooperation in mining, energy, and technology is expected to contribute to economic growth and long-term sustainability in both nations.
