Beijing Dismisses Netanyahu’s Allegations
China Rejects Israel AI Claims, Urges Gaza Ceasefire after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Beijing and Qatar of using artificial intelligence and social media to enforce an “information blockade” on Israel. The Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv dismissed the accusations as baseless and harmful to bilateral ties. Beijing expressed serious concern and firmly opposed the remarks.
A Chinese spokesperson stressed that blaming external actors for criticism of Israel’s Gaza war was misguided. “It is targeting the wrong party and prescribing the wrong remedy,” the embassy noted. The statement added that global consensus now leans toward a ceasefire to end Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
China Rejects Israel AI Claims, Calls for Diplomacy
During a September 17 press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian repeated China’s condemnation of Israel’s expanding ground and air operations in Gaza. These actions have displaced nearly 40 per cent of the population. Lin urged Israel to stop its offensive immediately, warning of a looming humanitarian disaster if fighting continues.
China stressed that Israel’s security cannot be separated from Palestine’s survival and statehood. “One-sided security is unworkable; only common security can ensure peace,” the embassy declared. Beijing also pointed to UN resolutions that reflect overwhelming support for Palestine-related issues.
Justice, Peace, and Shared Security in the Middle East
Beijing emphasised that resolving the Palestinian issue is key to regional peace. “Justice cannot be denied, morality cannot be reversed, and public opinion cannot be disregarded,” the embassy stated. China urged Israel to respond to global calls for a ceasefire and pursue diplomacy rather than relying solely on military force.
China reaffirmed its willingness to cooperate with regional states and the international community. Beijing said it stands ready to play a constructive role in restoring peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East.
