Pakistan responded with vigilance and strength to unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban, according to Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. He said the armed forces acted professionally to safeguard the country under testing circumstances.
Tarar stated that the retaliatory action forced the Afghan Taliban onto the defensive and disrupted their operational capacity. Key ammunition depots and battalion headquarters were destroyed during the response, he added.
He further said the Pakistan Air Force carried out precision strikes on defensive positions in Kandahar, Kabul, and Paktia, stressing that any attacks launched from Afghan territory would not be tolerated.
