Pakistan and China have agreed to strengthen cooperation in intelligence sharing and cybercrime to enhance security and counter-terrorism efforts. This decision follows a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Interior.
During the visit of Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced the creation of a dedicated Special Protection Unit to safeguard Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan. Modern Chinese technology will also be integrated into future counter-terrorism operations.
Both sides discussed internal security, cybercrime, and counter-terrorism strategies, reaffirming their strategic partnership. Ambassador Zaidong praised Pakistan’s response to recent attacks in Balochistan, while both nations committed to deepening cooperation through enhanced digital surveillance and security measures.
