Pakistani and Chinese companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Pakistan-China Business-to-Business (B2B) Investment Conference in Islamabad, strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The agreement was among the key outcomes of the conference, which brought together more than 450 businesses from Pakistan and China to explore investment opportunities and expand commercial partnerships.

Partnership to Support Pakistan Agro Show 2026

The MoU was signed between Pakistani exhibitions and event management company Eventex and Songshi Enterprise Management Consulting (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

Under the agreement, Eventex will facilitate the participation of the Chinese company in the 3rd Pakistan Agro Show 2026, scheduled to take place from October 29 to 31 at the International Expo Centre in Lahore.

Moreover, both companies recognized each other as strategic partners and pledged to promote long-term business cooperation based on mutual benefit and shared growth.

Expanding Agricultural Collaboration

The partnership aims to create new opportunities for Chinese agricultural machinery manufacturers, technology providers, and agribusiness firms to enter Pakistan’s expanding agricultural market.

In addition, the collaboration will help Pakistani farmers and agricultural enterprises gain access to advanced farming technologies, innovative equipment, and modern agricultural expertise.

The initiative is expected to support agricultural modernization while encouraging investment and technology transfer between the two countries.

Conference Strengthens Business Links

The Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference was organized by Pakistan’s Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Although the conference primarily focused on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, it also facilitated partnerships across several other sectors, including agriculture.

Furthermore, the event highlighted growing business-to-business cooperation under the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC 2.0), which encourages greater private-sector engagement.

Eventex Highlights Importance of Cooperation

Speaking after the signing ceremony, Eventex representative Haider Ali emphasized the importance of Pakistan-China cooperation in advancing Pakistan’s agricultural sector.

He said Chinese innovation and expertise continue to play an important role in modernizing farming practices across Pakistan.

“The Pakistan Agro Show provides an ideal platform for international investors and technology partners to connect with local stakeholders,” he said.

He added that the partnership with Songshi aims to connect Chinese agricultural expertise with Pakistan’s growing farming sector while creating sustainable value for businesses in both countries.

Looking Ahead

The new agreement reflects the growing momentum in Pakistan-China agricultural cooperation and is expected to encourage greater participation by Chinese companies in Pakistan’s agriculture industry.

Consequently, the partnership could support technology transfer, improve agricultural productivity, and strengthen commercial ties between the two countries.
