The process to acquire land for a new residential higher secondary school for girls has officially started in Gwadar. Around 25 acres have been identified in the Washain Dhore area for the construction of the Sultan Qaboos Residential Higher Secondary School, funded by the Sultanate of Oman.
Officials confirmed that the acquisition is being carried out under the relevant legal framework, authorizing district authorities to proceed with the formal transfer of land for the project. The school will include both academic and hostel facilities to support students from distant and underserved communities.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve access to secondary education for girls in Gwadar and surrounding areas. Authorities believe the project will help address educational gaps in the region and create better opportunities for young women to continue their studies without relocation challenges.
