The Islamabad Capital Territory Police, in partnership with the Chinese Embassy, launched the sixth phase of a Chinese language course for officers on January 20, 2026. The program aims to enhance Mandarin proficiency and cultural awareness among personnel.
This initiative follows a January 7 high-level meeting in Beijing between Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi and Chinese Minister for Public Security Wang Xiaohong, where strategies for professional capacity building and Islamabad-Beijing cooperation were finalized.
The language training forms part of broader people-to-people exchanges designed to improve security coordination and facilitate the smooth implementation of CPEC Phase II projects through better interaction between local police and Chinese stakeholders
