China has donated dozens of motorcycles to the Ethiopian Federal Police Commission to boost traffic control and security operations.The handover ceremony was held at the commission’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, attended by Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael, senior Ethiopian officials, and Chinese diplomats.
The motorcycles, along with police uniforms, will enhance VIP protection, highway traffic management, and general law enforcement efficiency.Authorities emphasized that the motorcycles will play a key role during international, continental, and national events hosted in Ethiopia, including gatherings at the African Union headquarters.
Sun Mingxi, charge d’affaires at the Chinese Embassy, praised the Ethiopian police for protecting Chinese personnel and institutions. He reaffirmed China’s support for strengthening Ethiopia’s law enforcement capabilities.
