President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Islamabad and was accorded a warm reception and ceremonial guard of honour at the Prime Minister’s House. National anthems of both countries were played as the leaders reviewed the guard.Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Subianto held a one-on-one meeting followed by delegation-level talks to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation in trade, energy, defence, education, and regional connectivity.
Both sides are set to sign several MoUs to strengthen collaboration in multiple sectors. The Indonesian leader also planted a commemorative sapling, marking the first presidential visit since assuming office and celebrating 75 years of diplomatic ties.The visit featured decorated motorcade routes and official ceremonies, emphasizing the growing people-to-people and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Indonesia.
